About J. Melissa Designs

Based out of coastal Charleston, South Carolina, J. Melissa Designs are artfully hand-wired creations, inspired by nature and made using high quality materials. All J. Melissa gemstones are carefully handpicked to capture the precious quality of each unique stone.

J. Melissa's "Made on Purpose" mission is to provide a connection of giving to create opportunities for children in need, here and across the globe. A portion of every sale goes to the Mengo village of Uganda where the villagers are currently building a school for their children, even making the bricks by hand!

 A note from founder/designer, Missy Newsom

Creating is something I've always loved to do. I love connecting with clients, the whole design process and finding balance with each new piece. Another passion of mine is helping children. I feel so lucky and grateful to have found a rewarding way to express my creative passion, and at the same time, connect others to be a part of our project of lifting up children. 

My hope is that people feel beautiful inside and out wearing their J. Melissa pieces. And they are reminded that they are giving the gift of hope each time they put it on.
